Story

Please note that due to the Corona Virus our climb has been postponed to 2021. We will still be climbing Scafell Pike in memory of Shaun, and are still trying to fund raise even more money to help this amazing charity. Please note that any donations made to date, have already been sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and are being utilised in what can only be described as a very challenging time for all charity organisations.

Last year we completed the Ben Nevis challenge which was one of the biggest challenges we have both ever faced. A lot of blood, sweat, tears, miles, aches, pains, high points and low points went into the preparation for the trek, and also on the day of our epic climb up the biggest mountain in the UK. Still this was nothing in comparison to anyone who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis and the challenges they face every day. Our trek was in memory of Lucy’s friend Shaun, who she had known for over 20 years,  but who sadly lost his battle with CF in May 2019. So when the Scafell pike challenge came up, and landed on the day of the anniversary of Shaun’s passing, we both agreed that this would be the perfect way to celebrate his life, and mark the day in a special way by raising funds for this great charity, who continually research and raise awareness of this life changing condition. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
